Don't Buy Me is an artistic installation promoting the things I hate in Brussels: police sirens and pigeon shit. Not really my favorite things in the city. Instead of annoying myself, I wanted to have some fun by promoting them in a sarcastic way.
The title Don't Buy Me has this double meaning. On the one hand you don’t want to buy these products because they are irritating or grose, on the other hand they are also fake ads so it’s not even possible to buy them. And above all, a painting that doesn’t want to be bought is quite ironic, isn’t it?
