For this theme “Bal Masqué”, I created 2 new paintings:
+ “Sunglasses at Night” shows a triple self portrait that illuminates the meaning of the lyrics of the song “Sunglasses at Night” by Corey Hart: disguise and the game of Poker.
+ “Soep met balletjes” was founded by listening to a podcast about masks where an artistic director of historical dance practices compares the equality that arises and the hierarchy that disappears between the aristocracy and the lower class when dancing at a Bal Masqué with meatballs in a soup.
