For the RUBY Gallery group show 24/03 - 30/04/22.
For this “Ruby & (more) friends” group show, I created 2 new paintings:
+ “Spoiler alert” does no longer hide my love for cars with spoilers, often driven by johnny’s. This makes me a marina and so refers to the subtitle in the painting: “Diep vanbinnen ben ik een marina” (“Deep inside I am a marina”).
+ “Schone schijn” refers to my dislike for keeping up appearances. The image gets manipulated at the same time by modifying it in my iPhone-photos and is supposed to reinforce the title.
